Our Filipino Culinary Heritage: Identity Reclaimed
Preserving our Kapampangan culture, Honoring childhood memories, and Reclaiming identity as a Filipino-American through the universal language of food.
What started as a quiet longing to reconnect with the flavors of our childhoods—and a deep desire to introduce the next generation to their heritage—has blossomed into The Salo Spread. After leaving the Philippines to build a life in the U.S., we always held tightly to the warm memories of our family’s cooking. We soon realized that recreating these traditional dishes wasn't just a shared passion; it was something profoundly worth sharing with our community. For our family, this is more than just a food business. It is our way of preserving our Kapampangan culture, honoring the memories we hold dear, and proudly celebrating our identity as Filipino-Americans. Every plate we serve is a piece of our history, passed down to our children, and shared with your family.
Tara, mangan tana!
